Sotexpro develops aluminized fabrics that improve thermal insulation and reduce energy transmission, in line with new regulations (RT2012). Solar Transmission (Ts)
This is the proportion of solar radiation going through the fabric. A low percentage indicates a good reduction of solar energy by the fabric.
Solar reflection (Rs)
It is the proportion of solar radiation reflected by the fabric. A high percentage indicates good reflection of solar energy by the fabric.
Solar Absorption (As)
This is the proportion of solar radiation absorbed by the fabric. A low percentage indicates a low absorption of solar energy by the fabric.
The sum of the 3 is equal to 100. Ts + Rs + As= 100% of solar energy

The gtot solar factor is the percentage of solar energy which actually penetrates into the room through the blind and the window glazing.
Sample tested according to the NF EN 14501 setting methods and reference calculation measures the EN13363 standard and the standard EN410.
(1) gv = 0,61 = solar factor of standard glazing. Double glazing has low emission, of which the thermal transmittance of the glazing alone is U = 1.2 W / m²K .
(2) gv = 0,34 = solar factor of standard glazing. Double insulating glazing with solar control, of which the thermal transmittance of the glazing alone is U = 1.1 W / m²K.
(3) gtot : Total solar factor. It is solar energy which actually penetrates into the room through the window glazing and the blind.
