Windows: a weak point for thermal comfort

Did you know that windows are responsible for a large part of a room’s heat loss?

Even with double glazing, they allow heat to escape in winter and let heat in during summer.
The result: your comfort decreases, and your energy bills increase.

In winter: keep the heat inside.

These heat losses force you to increase heating to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature. Additionally, cold glass surfaces intensify the feeling of chill in the room, reducing comfort and well-being.

In summer: protect yourself from overheating.

Windows let in the sun’s rays as well as outdoor heat. As a result, indoor air can quickly become stifling, prompting increased use of air conditioning or other solutions to maintain optimal comfort.

At Sotexpro, we help you to address this weak point with a solution designed for public buildings: the Thermic Line range, created to enhance energy performance.

High-performance smart curtains—the thermal barrier designed for lasting comfort!

High-performance smart curtains: a thermal barrier designed for lasting comfort!

1. It limits heat flow
Our thermal curtain reduces heat loss and helps maintain a comfortable temperature year-round. In its sun-protection version, it consists of three layers: an insulating wadding that traps air, sandwiched between two soft and durable polyester fabrics. In the blackout version, an additional opacity layer is added. This construction effectively reduces thermal exchange between the interior and exterior.

2. It limits solar radiation
With its reflective side facing the window, our curtain reduces heat from the sun and helps keep the room cool during hot periods.

Benefits at every level:

Less heating and air conditioning = lower bills

Better thermal comfort all year round

Guaranteed safety: Available in a fire-retardant version with M1 certification, ensuring that all materials comply with French regulations.

Easy care: Machine washable at 40°C.

A French-made curtain: we have chosen to design, industrialize, and produce all our thermal curtains directly in our workshops in the Loire region.

Does the Thermic Line range meet all blackout needs?

Yes, you have two options: sun-protection or blackout, covering all your shading needs—from living areas and shared offices to bedrooms and rest spaces.

Scientifically tested

The performance of our thermal curtain has been validated through a series of tests conducted in an independent laboratory. These tests were carried out using a thermal simulator—a test bench that replicates the thermal interactions between an outdoor environment and a room with a window. This setup allows precise evaluation of the room’s temperature changes with and without the curtain, under both summer and winter conditions.

Discover Thermic Line and its multi-layer design, the new generation of thermal curtains engineered for lasting comfort: reduces heat loss and limits overheating by up to 5.3°C year-round in the blackout version and 3.5°C in the sun-protection version.
